This summer I spent two months mist-netting bats in California. Our goal was to sample from each ecoregion, trying to gain an even spread across the state. The focus was on my species, Townsend's big-eared bat, and one other species, Yuma myotis. We had quite a bit of success... up until I broke my ankle! Hopefully the other grad student will be able to help get the COTO sites I missed. Some of our field sites this summer. We went to a lot of beautiful places, and some weird, weird places.
